Hash until it purrs.
4,444 Purrlings on Elysium, drawn fully on chain. Your computer races every other miner to crack the same puzzle. Whoever solves it first finds the next Purrling, with the winning answer drawn right into its head.
The more Purrlings get found, the less $TOKEN is left. A share of every mint buys the token back and burns it for good, and anyone who stakes their Purrling earns a cut of every mint that follows.

How it works
1 Mine
Press start. Your GPU or CPU tries numbers, millions to billions a second, each mixed with your address and the last cat's hash. Nothing leaves your machine until one works.
2 Find
A hash with enough leading zeros claims the next cat at the epoch price. The moment anyone finds one, the puzzle changes and every search still running is void.
3 Reveal
Your cat shows itself moments later. Its traits are drawn from block hashes that didn't exist yet when you sent.
4 Stake
Staked cats share 65% of the HYPE from every later mint. Lock one for 7, 14 or 30 days at 1×, 2× or 4× weight. No early exit.
Where the HYPE goes
Every mint
- 65%Rent for staked cats, split by weight
- 25%Buys $TOKEN and burns it
- 10%Builders
The buyback runs inside the mints. At most every 30 seconds, a mint spends the HYPE set aside, buys $TOKEN and burns it. While no cat is staked, the stakers' share goes to the buyback too.
Price per epoch
Eleven epochs of 404 cats, 4,444 in all. Each new epoch costs 0.06 HYPE more and raises the minimum difficulty by one step.
Nine lives
Eight traits and one lucky hash make nine ways to glow. About 4 in 100 cats have one. One cat has all nine.
Questions
Why cats?
Purrs have been part of Hyperliquid from the start, and a cat with nine lives belongs in Elysium, the paradise of Greek myth. Every cat here has to earn its way in.
Why Elysium?
It's Kinetiq's L2 for Hyperliquid, built for very fast blocks, so a race can be won in moments and a mint costs a fraction of a cent in gas. HYPE pays for everything.
What's the whitelist?
Up to 444 wallets can claim one cat each at 0.06 HYPE, before the race starts. It's one per wallet and X account, and unclaimed spots go to the race. It isn't live yet: follow @minepurrlings on X for updates.Mine a hash on the whitelist page for a shot at a spot.
What do I need?
A browser wallet with a little HYPE on Elysium. HYPE bridges 1:1 from HyperEVM. When you connect, the page asks your wallet to switch to Elysium.
Do I need a GPU?
No, but it helps a lot. Chrome and Edge let the page use your graphics card, which tries hundreds of times more hashes than a processor. Keep the tab open while you mine.
What does losing a race cost?
Nothing. The page checks every find before your wallet opens, so a beaten find is never sent. If another find lands just before yours, yours reverts and costs a fraction of a cent.
How does the difficulty change?
The contract aims for one find every 10 seconds and adjusts after every 8 finds. Finds that come too fast make the next one harder, and so does one wallet winning several in a row, by 1.5× the work per step. If nobody finds one for 5 minutes, it gets twice as easy, and again every 5 minutes, down to the epoch's minimum.
What is drawn into the screen?
The hash that mined it: one bit per cell behind the face, lit faintly where the bit is 1. The blank rows at the top are the zeros it found. No two hashes are the same, so no two cats are.
What is luck?
Every find needs a minimum number of zeros. Each extra zero is a coin flip the miner didn't have to win, and it's recorded with the cat forever. Eight or more extra zeros is Overdrive, and it glows.
What is $TOKEN?
The collection's token. Its whole supply launches on Ascend with none set aside, and any dev buy at launch would show on chain. At least a quarter of every mint buys $TOKEN and sends it to a contract nothing can ever leave.
What does the team get?
10% of every mint. The creator share of $TOKEN trading fees on Ascend goes to a separate treasury wallet, and what happens to it will be announced later. No cats are kept for the team and no $TOKEN is set aside. The contracts can't be upgraded, and nobody can stop mining or staking. The owner can still change the builders' wallet, the royalty and the rules marketplaces apply to transfers, and every start time is published on chain.
When does mining start?
After the whitelist's claims close, at a time the contract announces at least an hour ahead. Once the claimed cats have their art, anyone can open the race, and the first puzzle is drawn from the previous block's hash.
